My name is Flavian Barrett and I am a self-made stock options trader who is dedicated full time to options trading. I have spent several years mastering the art and science of advanced options strategies and consider it a privilege to be able to trade for a living and do that from the comfort of my home.
It was almost 20 years ago, I was in my early 20s and just about to graduate. I had big dreams about my future, I was determined and ambitious. In those years, I started looking at the stock market, it was fascinating seeing how the price of companies would fluctuate like crazy. All looked so powerful, but at the same time totally overwhelming! I knew right and then that the big money was in there. I had to be part of it.
Now my question was... How do I get started?
I did not have a financial background, my family was completely unaware of what the stock market was and I did not have any connections in the field or a financial network.
The answer was only one… I had to find a mentor!
This realization completely changed my life. I started from scratch and got passionate about it. I learnt the basics first, started trading in paper money and made the first few stock trades with real money. Then I moved to options trading and a new world opened in front of me.
I soon realized what an amazing financial tools options were, extremely flexible in any market condition. That’s why often traders refer to options trading as art and science.
Options can offer traders big rewards, but all comes with a risk. That’s why before engaging in options you need to invest in your education and fully understand the options mechanics.
